Viva La France! Nap on the Job

Kudos to French Health Minister Xavier Bertra for proposing a $9 million spend on studies about napping and a public awareness campaign aimed at easing sleep woes in France. About one in three French people suffer from sleep problems.

"Why not a nap at work? It can't be a taboo subject," Bertra said. He called for further studies and said he would promote on-the-job naps if they prove useful.

I think that Americans can only hope for government officials to wake up and smell the coffee regarding the safety benefits of workplace napping in our chaotic 24-hour society!

Be well, Sleep well,
Theresa
